The SCOTS Winter Sub-group’s purpose is to assist in the delivery of Winter Maintenance throughout Scotland and the various challenges faced by differing authorities depending on their geographical area and location.. This is a national collaborative project to establish best practice and to input into work done by the NWSRG group to align their work with Scotland and the differing challenges faced here, we continue to develop recommended practice through a framework of practical guidance, tools and templates. Numerous authorities as well as Transport Scotland participate in this group.

The Winter sub-group consists of a Chairman Gordon Maclachlan of Clackmannanshire Council.
