Comprised of lighting professionals from the 32 local authorities, the SCOTS Lighting group aims to share issues and best practice on design, delivery and maintenance on road and other forms of lighting.

The group supports development, control and deployment of quality, efficient and ecologically compliant installations that balance need for night-time access and road safety, with competing financial constraints and environmental responsibilities.

As a professional body we are consulted on lighting matters by government and other agencies on a wide range of issues, including legislation, regulation, and material innovation. We work with electrical network distributers, other societies and bodies, and provide a strong and consistent voice in response to media and other enquiries.
