The Transportation Working Group brings together officers working on Transportation Planning matters across the 32 local authorities and seven regional transport partnerships. It provides a form for sharing issues and updates, preparing consultation responses, and an interface with key stakeholders.

The group has a broad interest in sustainable transport policy, including decarbonisation, active travel, public transport, public health, and the practical implementation of policies at the local and regional level. We aim to have a voice that influences both policy and associated regulations and guidance.

We frequently work with various teams in Transport Scotland, but also with public transport agencies, active travel partners, and the wider community of sustainable transport interests.
